Jane McDonald chose this Corfu Hotel because she wanted to stay somewhere private and quiet with a view of the sea. There was a 25-minute transfer from the airport to the resort (during peak season it will be slightly longer because of traffic. A taxi should cost around 40 euros slightly more than what Jane paid at the time because of increased fuel prices. Always ask for the cost before you take the ride. Taxis can be found outside the airport to your left as you exit the arrival terminal.
The Complex has Private Villas and private suites, Jane chose the latter one. I had a tasteful modern look and you could find extras like a coffee machine and mini fridge. But What made the suite perfect was the view of the sea as well as the mini pool just outside on the balcony.
Jane went on and hired a private boat from Paleocastritsa on the west coast of Corfu. With a hire boat, you can explore the secluded beaches and also see the caves where the sea has eroded the rocks of the land.
There are many package deals for days out or you can book a private jeep safari as Jane did. On the safari, you get a guided tour from the driver stopping to see highlights it being a distillery, an old olive press or the view of Cape Drastis.
The final activity that Jane McDonald chose to do on the trip was mountain biking. She started at Dassia and was supposed to ride to the top of Mount Pantokrator. She soon realised she had taken on more than she could chew and gave up on the ride.
