Agios Spyridon, also known as Saint Spiridon, is a charming beach resort located on the northeastern coast of Corfu. It is situated between the larger resort of Acharavi further to the north and Kassiopi to the south. The resort is made up of 2 beaches with views of the Albanian hills and coastline and hills across the sea.
It is approximately 40-50km away from the capital and airport depending on the route you take to get there. The longest route via Acharavi takes less time as the roads are not as twisty.
The main beach is located near a small church of St spiridon that gives its name to the beach which consists of golden sand.
The area has an exlusicve feel to it with a small selection of hotels and taveras set in acres of unspoilt countryside. Even with the opening of the Mareblue complex it is a tranquil location. St Spiridon is a greatalternative to some of the bustling tourist towns in Corfu, while still being conveniently located near some of the larger resorts, providing the best of both worlds.
